Hello to all of our dearest supporters and fellow curry lovers,
As you are all aware, the current issue of the Covid-19 virus (coronavirus) has had a large impact on events and social gatherings—understandably. This does not need to be a long, drawn-out message, as we are aware that everyone knows the severity of this virus, and the importance of assisting in its containment.
The government has given important scientific backed guidance that people should avoid large gatherings.
Because of this, we must postpone the Leicester Curry Awards which was taking place on Monday 20 April 2020. Limiting the spread of this virus is far more important to ensure the health and well-being of our loved ones, neighbours, and fellow citizens in our great city.
We are unsure what date the Curry Awards will be moved to, but please stay tuned for any updates on our social media channels and website for a new date.
We are obviously quite disheartened to be announcing this news, but this is really the only responsible course of action that we can take. This will get better, and we shall celebrate the 2020 awards at a later date.
