The team here at the Leicester Curry Awards would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Writing this post has also given us the chance to reflect on three successful years of the Leicester Curry Awards. Over the years we have seen the event flourish and become an anticipated date in the diary.
Since the event began in 2017, we’ve received thousands of nominations, witnessed 18 deserving winners from Indian restaurants and takeaways across the city and county take to the stage, and welcomed over 1,500 guests, which have included the likes of the Lord Mayor and the Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire.
We are always looking at ways to make the awards a memorable evening for all of our guests which is why we love to bring you a mixture of great local entertainment, and of course, delicious food!
We are very excited for 2020 and incredibly grateful that we get to bring you another dazzling event at Athena on Monday 20th April. We have already received hundreds of nominations so far, and we couldn’t be more thrilled, so thank you to everyone that has taken the time to vote for their favourite curry house in Leicester or Leicestershire. If you haven’t already voted, you have until the end of February to do so.
