Leicestershire Curry Awards today have revealed its hosts for this year’s Curry Awards: BBC Radio Leicester Breakfast show presenter Ady Dayman and award-winning BBC radio and TV presenter, podcaster, and TEDx speaker Summaya Mughal.
A born and bred local, Ady wakes up the city and county every morning and loves celebrating the community. He’s also a massive LCFC supporter and when he’s not presenting can often be found at King Power Stadium. No surprise then that Ady also loves a cheeky curry and beer and one of his proudest achievements is being our reigning Samosa eating champion.
Trained actor Summaya auditioned for – and won – a competition for a role as a radio presenter for the BBC and went on to cover the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show. The radio, TV presenter and podcaster has since won numerous awards and is also the host for Trent Rockets at The Hundred.
Founder of the Curry Awards Romail Gulzar says: “This will be the first year the Awards has been hosted by a duo so I’m very much looking forward to the energy they’ll bring together on stage.”
It’s less than a month until the Leicestershire Curry Awards take place on Monday 25 Sept at Athena in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter.
