He has been a passionate advocate of the Curry Awards since their beginnings in 2016 and is an enthusiast of the diverse eateries throughout the city and county. He greatly enjoys his position as a judge, which gives him the opportunity to explore the newest culinary spots and discover some of the region’s hidden treasures.

“I’m honoured to reprise my role as Head Judge this year,” Gary remarked, “fully aware of the significant responsibilities and the impact this role has on both the winners and those yet to succeed.”

“Being nominated—selected by public votes, not by judges nor anyone affiliated with the awards—is a remarkable achievement itself, shining a light on the finest dining venues.”

He added: “Heartfelt thanks to the dedicated restauranteurs of Leicestershire who consistently offer such fantastic variety and quality. Leicester’s crowning achievement as England’s curry capital from a few months ago is also noteworthy. I extend my deepest gratitude to my fellow judges for their unwavering support!”
